We should start somewhere, so why not today.<\/p>\n

Yesterday was a very hot day, and it was very warm on the second floor as well when we put Ilyusha to bed at his regular bed time (8 p.m.). He wasn’t sleeping well and I decided to move him to the first floor until his 11 p.m. feeding. We decided not to turn on AC just yet, and opened all windows upstairs. It did cool down a bit and after 11 p.m. feeding, Ilyusha and I both went to our regular beds. I was thinking that because of that we will have a rough night, but it was not that bad. Ilyusha slept for over 3 hours to his next feed at around 2:30 a.m. and then 3.5 hours until he woke up at 6:20 a.m. which was almost 4 hours between feeds! He actually woke up around 5:30 a.m. a few times and I just gave him his pacifier each time and we both felt asleep. I was hoping to quickly feed him and put him to back to bed and maybe, just maybe, get a bit more sleep, as his regular wake up time is anywhere between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. As I was feeding him he pooed in his diaper, so after a few moments of hesitations I decided to change him. As I was changing him, he pooed again into a new diaper – ok, I caught it, so all was good. Then as I was trying to put the second diaper under him, he pooed again. This time I wasn’t as lucky as he pooed a bit on his clothes. Ugh! As I was reaching for a third diaper, he started spitting the milk, then pooed one more time – all over the changing table, and finished off by peeing all over himself. At that point, I knew that there was no chance in hell, I can get any sleep.\u00a0 By the time everything was cleaned, the clothes and his blanket washed, and he was in a new diaper and dressed in all new clothes, it was way past 7 a.m. and his eyes were wide open.\u00a0 So we decided to let daddy sleep a bit and went downstairs to do laundry.<\/p>\n

By the way, today we started using No 2 diapers. We are growing fast!!!<\/p>\n

After having breakfast at home, and Ilyusha having 2 short naps in his bassinet. We went shopping to buy a present for Liadi who will be 3 years old tomorrow! and after returning home, we decided to go for lunch – actually walk to one of our favourite restaurants – “Azian” at Dufferin & Major Mac. It was pretty hot outside, so Ilyusha was just wearing his onesie. We put him in his stroller and were on our way. Just before reaching Dufferin we stopped for a short water break and Ilyusha was getting fussy. We looked for his pacifier, then looked at each other and once we realized that we left it at home AGAIN I couldn’t stop laughing (we forgot it at home yesterday when we went for a walk, and when Ilyusha got really fussy, Yurka had to run with the stroller home, and we were pretty far).\u00a0 Anyways, so daddy ran back and Ilyusha & I continued. Once daddy caught up with us, it was smooth sailing, as Ilyusha was sleeping all the way to the restaurant. Once there, Ilyusha decided that he didn’t want to miss all the fun and we had lunch one after another. It actually worked as all my food came first, and while Yura was waiting for his, he was holding Ilyusha. When his food came, we switched. On the way home, Ilyusha fell asleep as soon as we were out of the restaurant. I was worried as we were short on time for the walk back home (we had like 30 min, which was not enough to walk back), but all turned out well. When we got home, Ilyusha was still asleep and slept for another 10-20 minutes in his play pan downstairs.<\/p>\n

Here is how we started our walk yesterday, and if it wasn’t very hot and sunny, we would have done the same thing today.<\/p>\n

When we got home, it was still an hour or so until his bed time, so we all hang around on the couch. Here is Ilyusha chilling out in his white mittens (so he doesn’t scratch he pretty face before our photo shoot), which daddy calls, Michael Jackson’s gloves \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
