Monday (June 11)<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong> Ilyusha is really trying to sit down now. He doesn’t like lying down anymore with his toys just hanging over him. I actually had to improvise and put a pillow under his playing mat so he can be reclining. This way he was playing with his toys much longer. I’ve also started to do his tummy time on his changing pad. He loves it as it is not as soft as the bed we play on.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ilyusha also keeps grabbing everything within his reach. Our poor daddy… it’s either his chain or his glasses \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Tuesday (June 12)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ilyusha got a new nickname – Tyzik (\u0422\u0443\u0437\u0438\u043a) because he nibbles on everything in sight!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00a0Wednesday (June 13)<\/strong><\/p>\n

As I was reciting a Russian kids poem (\u0423 \u043c\u0435\u043d\u044f \u0437\u0430\u0437\u0432\u043e\u043d\u0438\u043b \u0442\u0435\u043b\u0435\u0444\u043e\u043d) and role playing, Ilyusha was laughing out loud! I’ve done it twice and it worked both times, but by the time daddy woke up, the charm wore off and Ilyusha was already indifferent. But since then, we have been noticing more and more instances where Ilyusha actually loves when prompted \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

Wednesday was also the first time when Ilyusha slept for almost 2 hours duirng his nap time! \u00a0Too bad this is an exception and not the rule, but I am not complaining. Look how cute he is!<\/p>\n

This is us shopping with Ilyusha. \u00a0We use Snap & Go at the store, and only when we forget it we put the car seat directly on shopping carts. The problem, I can’t see where I am going if the car seat is on top of a shopping carts (and yes, I did bump into other people a few times)<\/p>\n

Thursday (June 14)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just a regular day.<\/p>\n

I put Ilyusha in the middle of our bed surrounded by pillows when I have to do something quick in the room, like get dressed! But he is not content anymore with just lying around and is trying to sit down, as you can see from the photos below. So I do have to be watching him every second!<\/p>\n

And here is Ilyusha nibbling on Sophie \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0The famous Sophie that no newborn can live without. We are lucky as this one has been nibbled on by Ilyusha’s cousins first \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n

Friday (June 15)<\/strong><\/p>\n

First of all, we turned 3 months!!! Ilyusha and I did a photo shoot as we always do on his birth day. I wanted to do a special post for his 3rd month birthday, but since I am so behind, it will be combined with his 4th month birthday, sorry \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Then I decided to go to the park by myself (with Ilyusha, of course). We used to live on Torresdale in Toronto and our\u00a0apartment\u00a0building was facing this park, so I knew every inch of it. That was 14 years ago. \u00a0So, Ilyusha and I arrived and parked at the park. I decided to do a loop through the park, then\u00a0adjacent\u00a0neighbourhood and \u00a0then back into the park for a short walk to the car. Well…. the first part was great – through the park. I’ve actually met a lot of mommies and grannies with their children\/grandchildren, and just people walking in general. \u00a0When I got to the neighbourhood, I didn’t know exactly where the entrance to the park was and it wasn’t on the google map that I had on my iphone. So I kind of got lost. Well, not really, but the bigger problem was that Ilyusha decided that he wanted to eat 30 min earlier and didn’t want to stay in his\u00a0bassinet. \u00a0On top of finding the entrance, I had to do it with Ilyusha in one hand and pushing the stroller with another (which is not the easy). I did find the entrance and did get to the car (there was a very steep climb, which made the whole experience a great work out!). \u00a0I took the feeding pillow and just sat on a bench. There was just a hand full of people so I didn’t really care. It was amazing …. sitting in the shade with a nice summer breeze.<\/p>\n

Once Ilyusha is fed he is one very happy baby \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Saturday (June 16)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I wanted to have Ilyusha breath some fresh air, so we decided to go to the park in Kleinburg. We didn’t go too far when Ilyusha woke up. He refused to lay in his stroller and the sun was too hot for him to be carried in his snuggly (which he didn’t really mind), so we turned back. \u00a0On the way back, we actually found some shade and stopped there so I could feed him. As we still had time before getting ready for Dimka’s birthday, we stopped by Alla & Sasha’s house. \u00a0It turned out that it was Alla’s dad’s birthday, and the dinner was being prepared, so we stayed and enjoyed some food.<\/p>\n

After Ilyusha was bathed and fed for the night we put him to sleep in his car seat and were off to Dimka’s house to celebrate his birthday. Ilyusha was in a separate room, but didn’t sleep very well (I guess he is growing up now and days when he could sleep anywhere are slipping away). \u00a0We still managed to enjoy the birthday party and got home pretty late.<\/p>\n

Sunday (June 17)<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was Suzka’s birthday and we were invited for a BBQ at her mom’s house. We ended up spending the entire day there. \u00a0It was nice and relaxing. \u00a0There was also two other kids (that’s until my niece and nephew arrived). Ilyusha had two meals and two naps there before it started to get too late. \u00a0On the way home we stopped by my parents’ house for a brief visit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
