I woke up before the alarm even rang. Ilyusha slept pretty good and didn’t wake up even once between almost 2 am (when we went to bed) and 5:30 am. He did woke up by himself before we were ready but waited patiently in his crib.

We are ready to go:

Sasha picked us up and drove to the airport in his van (although Yurka was telling me that we could have fit into our Hondas).

The perk of traveling with an infant and a stroller was that we didn’t have to wait in a long line through security, but we’re led through right away. As soon as we were inside the gate area, I fed Ilyusha and we moved closer to our gate.

The flight was pretty uneventful. Ilyusha did sleep through both, the take off and landing so that was the bonus. He did become just a bit fussy before falling asleep for his second nap.

And we were on the bus in no time.

The trip from the airport took about 40 minutes or so. We checked in, but our room was not ready so we went to eat lunch and then head to the room.

Bell boys took forever to get our luggage and Ilyusha fell asleep in his pack and play that we brought from home. The crib that the hotel provided looked like a metal cage with a thin mattress on the floor.

While Ilyusha was napping, Yurka made restaurant reservations for tonight. We only had 15 minutes to get ready and walk to the other side of the resort. We made it, but were a bit late.

Our first dinner was at an Italian restaurant, Mama Mia. Ilyusha’s second tooth surfaced so he was a bit cranky. He was not too happy with his toys, but when he got a hold of a tea spoon his mood changed, Ilyusha was occupied for most of the dinner. 🙂
