We are 6 months today!

So what milestones did we achieve so far?

-> Ilyusha can sit pretty much independently (although he does fall backwards sometimes, so it is not 100% just yet)

-> Ilyusha can easily roll over from his back to his tummy (even without being asked) and does so in bed as well

-> As follows from the above, Ilyusha started to sleep on his tummy more and more as he easily turns himself to his tummy (can’t roll the other way yet)

-> Ilyusha got his first teeth yesterday, and some people believe that more are on their way, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I can see the one at the front though.

-> Ilyusha’s sleeping got soooo much better, no night feedings at all! (I am knocking on wood and spitting so as not to jinx it)

-> Ilyusha recognizes people who he sees a lot, I am not talking about his mommy and daddy (whom he has known and recognized for a long time), but grandparents and aunts!

-> He is better at doing “ladyshki” started opening his palms more

-> Ilyusha started to eat veggies and cereal (loves cereal!)

-> Ilyusha is making attempts at crawling and does move a bit (check out a video of him crawling in the “video” section of this website)

-> Ilyusha can stand pretty good when leaning onto a sofa, railing of his bed or a person

 

and of course, mommy had her camera out for a photo shoot!

First stop… the scale… and we are weighing 9.570 kg – 9.580 kg.

Ilyusha is getting tall also and he barely fit on the scale.  Initially I thought that he lost weight and then noticed that his legs were resting on a pack of diapers beside the scale 🙂

 

Next, I wanted to show how Ilyusha is seating, but since he just had a feeding, the reclining pose would have to do!

First, a toy to make him happy!                Then, trying to take a picture without the toy, but Ilyusha is now interested in the frame

  

“Mommy, I am not nibbling on the frame, look closer… I am nibbling on my sleeper!”

 

Nothing I can do, apparently the frame is YUMMY!!!

 

Tried to take it away                                     and here is the result!

 

we did get a tooth just yesterday, so that may be it too…

Just before Ilyusha had his snack of carrots, mommy wanted to take a few more pics

 

If we are not eating the frame, we are eating the seat belts!

 

and when there is nothing in our mouth, we are not too pleased!

After Ilyusha’s afternoon nap, and before getting dressed for the guests, just a few more photos in his swing.

 

 

and after all the guests left a tad bit more of photos before bed time. How could I resist trying to preserve the time when Ilyusha was just learning to stand.  The couch is slippery and Yura was just outside the camera range (well, he tried to be) 🙂

taking photo of Ilyusha standing didn’t really work, so I decided to take some with him sitting (although, he still was trying to reach for the frame!)
