We had an extremely busy long weekend. Spent most of Saturday afternoon with my parents as Yura was helping my dad with electric work in the house, and thereafter we had all our friends at our house for some fun time.  Sunday morning we had 3! parties.  First, a late morning breakfast at Suzanna & Mali’s house. Lots of people and kids. Then a late lunch at Mo’s parent’s house. It was a nice BBQ at their backyard where Ilushka was the star as always. All other children were either much bigger (Ariella, Liad & Ivan) or slept through most of the party (I am talking about my new nephew, Darius, Jenya’s baby).  After we put Ilusha to bed we were off to our last party for that day, a quiet get together at our friends’ house were we ended up playing Taboo. I love that game (and the girls won!).

So today we decided to keep it quiet. Ilushka slept until after 8 am, which is very very rare. I actually woke up before him. Ilushka and I read a few books and waited for daddy to wake up.  After breakfast we went for a stroll and stopped by t. Yulya’s house were Ilushka played with Liadi.  After a good nap (for both Ilushka and me) we went to a playground near community centre.  Ilushka loves the swing and slide. Plus they have a water park, so naturally Ilushka gravitated there.  It was chilly but there were tons of kids splashing and running around.  Daddy was brave and went in with Ilushka to touch one of the sprinklers, but once an older girl splashed them both, Ilushka ran from there as fast as he could. I was enjoying too much to take any pics.  After we got home, Lyuba invited us to go out for sushi, so off we went to celebrate Canada Day 🙂   and here is my “All Canadian boy” with his daddy enjoying the dinner.  Luckily we got the booth and Ilushka was running around the booth and making new friends.  Overall it was a pleasant dinner.  and here is a photo.
